Our Mission

Our mission is to educate, inspire and support all generations to engage in local, community-led environmental action to create a national movement.

We believe no action is too small to make the world a better place.

Community is at the heart of everything we do. We aim to support and inspire people from all over the UK to get involved in local environmental change in order to create a national movement.

As a charity we want to amplify and showcase all the amazing work that is happening, from group litter picks, to education-led campaigns, and shout from the rooftops about local heroes that are doing everything they can to look after their environments.

Community-led initiatives:

Our role is to support, celebrate and fund initiatives that build on the invaluable work local communities are already doing.

Our work wouldn’t be possible without the thousands of litter-pickers and advocates creating positive, systematic change to their local communities.

We support local initiatives by:

Unifying communities across the country so that all participants have the resources to reach their environmental goals.
Providing support, advice and promotional materials to local groups. This support may include kit on an ad hoc basis.
Liaising with local councils to secure funding for grassroot initiatives.

The Wombles Education Scheme:

Education is fundamental in the work we do and the fight against environmental issues. The charity recognises the importance of educating children, along with their teachers and parents, to create passion in the next generation who will lead the way in nurturing a greener future.

By investing in future generations we hope to create changes in behaviour and attitudes toward the environment, contributing to a world where young people adopt passionate environmental stewardship.

Our Education Scheme:

Provides free educational content exploring environmental topics in line with the current curriculum.
Inspires curiosity about the environment in a fun, engaging way.
Donates free educational products to schools across the nation.
Create and support national educational campaigns.
