We believe it is essential that charities are accountable for their actions and especially their funding.
We track a range of measures such as:
- Number of groups awarded the status of Official Wombles Community Group.
- Number of people participating in these groups.
- Number of downloads of educational materials.
- Number of school visits.
- Our funding allocation for initiatives, campaigns and community work
We aim to provide regular updates on these key measures during 2024.
Although these measures are an important means of demonstrating our impact, we must not lose sight of the human dimension of our work – the stories of the thousands of people involved in local activities are the true measure of the incredible impact local community work can have. To recognise these efforts, we champion these local heroes through our social channels.
Annual Impact Report
We will publish an annual impact report to demonstrate to our supporters and partners the difference we are making. Where possible, this will include measurable impacts such as the amount of litter collected by local groups.
We recognise that as a small charity we can only make a significant contribution by working with others. By working with other environmental organisations and individuals we can broaden our reach and capabilities, generate more impact from our funding and deliver environmental benefits more effectively.
